Last Friday, 17th April, was one of the happiest day I've had in a long time. I finally passed my driving practical test and obtained my class 3 driving license, on the first attempt! It was a really crazy experience. During the last lesson I had the day before and the warm-up before the test, my engine was still stalling and I was still making stupid mistakes I shouldn't be making. I had the mindset that I was gonna take the test a second time, and may the first try be an experience to familiarize myself with the test.
During the first station of the circuit portion of the test, parallel parking, I managed to complete it with much ease. However, when I was moving out of the station, I reversed too much and struck one of the poles down. 10 points gone and I was left with 8 points to spare for the rest of the circuit and the road. Fortunately, I completed the rest of the circuit without any problem and on the way out, the tester tapped the dashboard and I had to make an emergency brake. Instead of slamming the brakes, I accidentally stepped on the accelerator but I reacted really fast and stepped hard on the brakes. I thought this marked the end of my test and it was an immediate failure so I gave up all hopes and really wished to complete the rest of the test and go home. Surprisingly, we went out to the roads and only made a couple of right turns before heading back to the driving centre. I thought I was gonna fail and the short drive outside was only part of the test procedure. To my astonishment, the tester gave me a "pass" with 14 points : 10 for striking the pole down, 2 for wrong technique during emergency brake and 2 for delay in moving off. He actually only deducted 2 for the emergency brake! I can only say he's super lenient and I hope he gets good karma.
So see you guys on the road (as what a fellow testee who passed together with me told me)!

I've changed my blog template to this really cool navigation type which may be confusing to people who were following my old blogs. But the fact that you are able to reach this page means that you understand how this works and that your iq is not so low after all.
Everything I type on my blog are my own personal comments purely for memory (or in certain cases, stress relieving) purposes and not targetted on inflicting irreversible mental trauma on whoever's name that is mentioned. I also do not like to discuss things mentioned in the blog outside of my blog. What's in the blog, remains in the blog.
Please tag on the tagboard to give me constructive comments or just to say hi. I love to say hi because greetings are free.
Remember to check out the songs I'm listening to in the music box segment located at the lower orange rectangle.
