Went back to school today for a supposedly 5 generations of house comm gathering. The turnout was average, but within my expectations. The first generation had only 2, zeya and greg while the third generation had none for half the day till ruth came in the evening. My generation, the 2nd, was represented by jenn haur, roxanne, me, min loong, clarissa, ashvin, andy and joyce black. The 4th and 5th generation had a rather good turnout I guess and I was pretty impressed with them, especially althea, who apparently was the one who organised the barbeque but unfortunately failed to get back fully what she paid for the barbeque. Got to know the 07 batch better but didn't really get a chance to interact with the 08 batch. Hopefully next time we'll get to know everyone better. I'm pretty hopeful for the 08 batch judging from their enthusiam and friendliness, but I think every batch will start off like this. What it becomes at the end is up to each and everyone from the batch.

What I really want to mention is this bastard we encountered on the way home. Ashvin decided to give ruth, tristan and I a lift back home because we were all staying in the east. Along ecp, there was this toyota vios which was travelling really slow along the 3rd lane, approximately 50km/h on the highway. So ashvin decided to go to lane 4 but the vios also decided to change to lane 4 so we followed behind it. We were moving really slow because the vios is following a suzuki swift which was travelling really really slow, also about 50km/h. When ashvin decided to change back to lane 3, the vios decided to follow AGAIN and block our way. Then suddenly, it braked and we also had to brake, before it moved off again at normal speed. Not wanting to involve ourselves in this nonsense, we cut into lane 2 and overtook the vios for a distance, when it suddenly accelerated and overtook us, before cutting into our lane again and braked. This time we had to brake really hard. We decided not to play any more games with the vios and cut back into lane 4, still behing the swift, still moving very un-swiftly. The vios then slowed down to be on par with the swift, and that's when we started to suspect that the 2 drivers knew each other and were playing a fool on the highway. We decided to follow behind the swift all the way till they exited at tampines whereas ashvin decided to carry on to the airport area before making a u-turn, lest we meet them again. So, driver of toyota vios car number SJK 79 Y, hopefully I'll see you tomorrow in the papers, with your lifeless body under a pile of wrecked metal, covered in blood and your family weeping for you. No, I will not be feeling sad for you, but maybe for the car which has probably just been bought not long ago (SJK leh). Oh anyway the driver still had a p-plate, which means he hasn't even drove for a year. Oh ya, if you die, please bring the un-swift driver with you too. I'll burn the "death race" dvd for you 2.
