Anyone who has been surfing facebook will know that I was in malacca with the guys for the past 3 days, due to the spamming of the photos and the comments. In my opinion, it was a well worth trip, both economically and educationally.
Chin yong, primero and I stayed over at chee hoe's house the night before to make the trip to golden mile the next day together. It was a crazy night as we spent 9-10 hours in front of the tv playing ps2 games, notably wwe raw vs smackdown and winning eleven. Called in macdonald's delivery at 3am too. We took a cab down to golden mile to take the bus to malacca and the only action from then till the hotel was jenn haur almost late for the bus. From then on, it was sleep, wake up, singapore custom, malaysian custom and sleep again to the hotel.
We stayed at equatorial hotel for the 3 days, which was apparently a 5 star hotel. To me, a hotel usually doesn't matter so much but the standard of the hotel kind of exceeded my expectations. After unloading our bags, we decided to have the famous chicken rice balls for lunch and set off searching for it. We found it at jonkers walk unexpectedly. To me, it wasn't really special and to some of the guys, the balls were a bit more salty than the rice not moulded into the balls. Anyway, it was a cheap meal (56 ringgit for 6 people, which is equivalent to about $4 per person), and it was on yeh hao so I shan't complain at all.
Walked down jonkers walk after that and I really liked the place. It was full of toys that we may have played with when we were younger, shops selling malacca or peranakan snacks, many different shops selling the same kind of souvenirs and a lot of small pushcarts selling cendol. The most important buy, other than the durian cakes and snacks, was the small cane with a rubber hand at the tip bought by me, which will be used for night entertainment.
After we were done at jonkers walk for 2 hours, we decided to scout for the famous cendol which was supposed to be by the river. After we managed to locate it, I was pretty taken aback because it looked unhygienic but well since we were there, we had to try it and it was pretty good la, not the worse of the cendol we had for each of the 3 days there. We then made our way to this sky tower thay had which was similar to the one in sentosa. The price here was about half that of sentosa though, but the crowd was huge and we had to wait a while before we got the chance to see malacca from a bird's eye view. Then we had dinner at the cheap newton food centre, which was somewhat similar to the one in singapore, at headed back to hotel.
The night entertainment was this game where used to be on tv. Don't wanna explain but the punishment was a smack of the butt using the cane with the rubber hand tip. I can't exactly remember who got smacked the most but primero certainly got the hardest smack by me, which apparently left a mark on his butt.
Slept at around 11pm because the next day was crazy shopping day.

I've changed my blog template to this really cool navigation type which may be confusing to people who were following my old blogs. But the fact that you are able to reach this page means that you understand how this works and that your iq is not so low after all.
Everything I type on my blog are my own personal comments purely for memory (or in certain cases, stress relieving) purposes and not targetted on inflicting irreversible mental trauma on whoever's name that is mentioned. I also do not like to discuss things mentioned in the blog outside of my blog. What's in the blog, remains in the blog.
Please tag on the tagboard to give me constructive comments or just to say hi. I love to say hi because greetings are free.
Remember to check out the songs I'm listening to in the music box segment located at the lower orange rectangle.
