Seeing her sing live was cool. It was as good, if not better, as listening to her album. Sadly, no photography was allowed. I wanted to volunteer if there was any games related to singing her songs but there wasn't. During one song, she actually walked all the aisles on the auditorium except the small stretch beside me and wilfred. I'm not blaming her because the usher was the one who directed her around. One guy even got to give her a hug, which I guess angered many other guy fans in the theatre. Eventually I got to shake her hand and got her autograph on my album.
During the autograph session, I was deeply disturbed by 2 male fans.
The first one was a middle-aged guy who obviously wasn't from NTU. He had a lot of her albums and wanted her to sign all. Throughout the process, he was ranting non-stop about how much he supported her since she started singing, how he was looking forward to her 2nd album, how he loved her voice, etc. He did all these while leaning forward and had this psycho face. I think that probably freaked claire out a bit that she only signed one of his albums and just kept saying thank you.
The 2nd was a plump guy queueing behind me. He claimed he was from claire's fan club but as far as I know there's isn't a fan club in singapore yet, at least not an official one. Maybe he was the chairperson, and the only member as well. Anyway, everyone was given like probably 5 seconds to talk to her while she signed the album and shakes our hands. This fat guy, however, took advantage of my time by interupting while I was getting my album signed and asked if she could write his name on the album. I didn't even get a chance to say "jiayou" or anything else.
These freaks are irritating. But I'm not complaning. I'll be seeing her again in about 20 hours at lunar asian fusion bar for her mini party. The only way to get tickets was either a contest from YES 93.3FM or buy her new version album. The former only gives out 30 tickets over a span of 5 days while the latter is a game of chance as the ticket is randomly inserted into the albums. Between Wilfred and myself, we have 5 tickets! We each have 2 from the radio station and I have another 1 from the album.
This sets up the stage for meeting no. 2 with claire tomorrow! =)
