Recently I got to know that my OC received a complaint about me. Puzzled as to what mistake I committed and who complained against me, I made a call to my OC to enquire and also happened to read the e-mail sent by the complainant. It was then when I realised who childish some middle-aged man can be.
Last saturday, I on on duty and got to know the day before that OCS was returning a heavy return of ammo at 0830 hours. Hence, I did my best to rush up to the office to take over the duty to avoid delay to OCS booking out. When I reached the office, they have not arrived and were uncontactable all the way till 1015 hours. Thinking that they might have changes to their plans and that it was a saturday, I changed into my slippers and singlet to take a quick nap because I had not slept well the night before. In the end, they arrived at 1100 hours and declared to us that they were rushing for the 1230 ferry out. I told the ammo IC, a MSG, that I'll do my best. Hence, I decided to reduce delay and went up with them to the storehouse in my singlet and slippers along with my duty partner. Before that, I noticed that he had much general stores in his vehicle and a mixture of different types of ammo which were both non-compliances. I made known that I'd have to issue him a booking but he told me to give him a chance. I agreed and told him to separate the ammo as well as unload the stores, but I guess the former fell on deaf ears.
Upon reaching the storehouse, I realised that their return was messy and massive and I told him it'd be quite difficult to be on time for the ferry out, and he was quite unhappy. I also opened a box and found the mixed ammo still unseparated. As a result, I issued him a booking form for the non-compliance. He then started telling me all sorts of rubbish about how he was from MINDEF, how much he knows about training safety and all but I turned a deaf ear to him. As long as he's in my turf, he listens to me. The final result, he got a booking and also missed his ferry out.
2 days ago, I received a call from my IC and OC telling me I got complained of "improper attire" and I never thought it would be the OCS guy. The despicable thing was he sent the e-mail without my notice and behind my back. I only got to see it when my OC forwarded it to me. The fact that he sent that also meant that he probably started planning for this "revenge" from the moment I booked him. How childish can a man almost in his 40s be? Taking something totally unrelated to the original context to get back at me, someone young enough to be his son. I'm not afraid of him. On the contrary, I'm really full of pity for such a guy who has lived almost 40 years and yet behaves like a small kid, attempting to play "tit for tat" but probably failing miserably. I do not deny the fact that I was wrong in going up in my singlet and slippers, but it was genuinely to reduce any form of delay to them. Look at what I got in return?
Luckily, no action was taken against me, probably much to that MSG's disappointment, as to my OC, I was totally right in booking him and that complaint was a small and totally irrelevant matter. I think that this event only goes to embarass him and did nothing to me.

I've changed my blog template to this really cool navigation type which may be confusing to people who were following my old blogs. But the fact that you are able to reach this page means that you understand how this works and that your iq is not so low after all.
Everything I type on my blog are my own personal comments purely for memory (or in certain cases, stress relieving) purposes and not targetted on inflicting irreversible mental trauma on whoever's name that is mentioned. I also do not like to discuss things mentioned in the blog outside of my blog. What's in the blog, remains in the blog.
Please tag on the tagboard to give me constructive comments or just to say hi. I love to say hi because greetings are free.
Remember to check out the songs I'm listening to in the music box segment located at the lower orange rectangle.
