People ofen argue about whether we should do a job because of the money or because of passion. In the army, I have no choice. There's neither high pay nor do I have passion for anything that I'm doing now. But then again, when left to no choice, we might end up doing it because of friends. That's the reason why I turn up for work everyday now, besides wanting to avoid being charged for AWOL. I know this is very pessimistic of me, but I can't help it as NS has really started to become a chore. I really hope it's because this month of July is cursed and that it passes quickly. I cannot imagine what it'll be like for this to continue for the remaining 1.5 years of my NS.
In other news, Chelsea beat Beckham's LA Galaxy 1-0! What's with all the hype about LA galaxy when they've lost their first 2 friendly matches?

I've changed my blog template to this really cool navigation type which may be confusing to people who were following my old blogs. But the fact that you are able to reach this page means that you understand how this works and that your iq is not so low after all.
Everything I type on my blog are my own personal comments purely for memory (or in certain cases, stress relieving) purposes and not targetted on inflicting irreversible mental trauma on whoever's name that is mentioned. I also do not like to discuss things mentioned in the blog outside of my blog. What's in the blog, remains in the blog.
Please tag on the tagboard to give me constructive comments or just to say hi. I love to say hi because greetings are free.
Remember to check out the songs I'm listening to in the music box segment located at the lower orange rectangle.

I'm feeling more tired by the day and having certain muscle aches here and there. Hopefully I'm not suffering from dengue fever. Apparently some block near my flat has 7 dengue cases in a block which means my flat is also included in the dengue blacklist. Haven't fell really sick for a long time and somehow I actually missed the feeling. The last time I fell rather sick was when I was 16 and I had gastritis a few days before my english prelims. Had to be admitted into hospital and it was then I felt care and concern from my family and schoolmates. Somehow people only remember their friends when something, good or bad, happens.
Attended my first physiotherapy session yesterday and I have to say it was really lame. Other than the fact that the doctor was cute, nothing there was pleasing. They didn't have time for less serious cases like me, and sent me to do stuff like riding the bike for 15 minutes and simple stretching exercises while they are busy with other patients. The worst thing is, I must go back in another 3 weeks time and I am supposed to do the exercises at home. After that, I caught Harry Potter with amanda, ash, lihua and chi heem. It's seriously not as bad as many people say it is, probably because I haven't read the book. But I thought the scene of Harry kissing the china girl was a bit redundant and that the ending was rather abrupt. Nice movie anyway.
A few of us decided to go singing after work today. That was when I realised a secret party world ktv hidden in loyang point. Wanting to test if my voice has receovered since that horrendous last singing outing, I decided to join them. In the end, it was estimated that each of us had to fork out $17+ each for 4 hours, when i usually paid less that $10 for 3 hours at katong. However, I decided to go ahead partly because of peer pressure and partly because it was to celebrate a senior's ORD. Initially, I kept feeling that the $17+ wasn't worth it, but as it went on, I realised it was one of the best session I've been too. I learnt how much fun a group of 6 guys can have at a ktv. Apparently, there is a curse that whoever posted to tekong ammo dump will breakup with their loved ones within 3 months, and it happened to 3 of them present. I won't be affected because I do not have a girlfriend! Nevertheless, the 6 single guys sang our hearts out and it hit a climax at the last song, when we decided to drop the mikes and sing it together, 6 men in 1 voice. it was SHIN's Tian Gao Di Hou.
因为我有我想要的朋友
你是我最想要的朋友
During that song, I really felt a brotherly love that we shared. I understood that we are really blessed when friends are there for you to share sorrow and fun.

Went to visit the specialist regarding my knee and ankle injuries at Changi Hospital yesterday. They're still kind of not recovered since my injury 1 month ago. According to the doctor at the polyclinic, it's just a sprain and will recover soon. When I insisted it's not and it bloody hurts sometimes, she couldn't do anything buy refer me to a specialist. So the specialist was a female and she kinda did everything with my two legs but weirdly it didn't hurt. She must have thought I was malingering and trying to fake an MC. Then suddenly, she sat on me and pulled my leg up but it still didn't hurt. In the end she decided to conclude that my muscles were kinda stiff in my left knee and right ankle because I couldn't stand on my right leg. Now I have to attend physiotherapy every fortnight and probably do the same exercises my mum used to undergo. I think they're not much of a probalem because I even ran 6+km today. Hopefully I'll end at 1 therapy session. Anywa, the doctor wasn't hot or else I might've let her sit on me longer. Just kidding!
On a side note, someone suddenly returned my identification cards after I lost them about 1 year 2 months ago. My brother said she left them at the doorstep and I was supposed to contact someone called Lisa should I receive the cards. Thought this might bring some surprise for me but it just ended up that her brother found them somewhere in Tampines. I lost them in bedok anyway. Maybe the thief met with some mischap in Tampines! I basically but most of the cards up because I've already gotten them replaced a year ago.
Duty tomorrow, Friday and Sunday!

Today something good and something bad happened all together. I was supposed to collect my school graduation cert from Chien Wei at parkway and have lunch together. Unfortunately, after lunch, I left my graduation cert at the food court. This was the bad thing. The good thing was, after about 15 minutes, I received a call from someone who sounded like Miss Jancy. "Hello, Alan ah? Someone found your school graduation cert at the food court in parkway. She's passing it to the information counter. Can you please collect it now? Aiyo, why liddat? Be careful next time ok?" was what she said. And I did so after my karaoke session, which I will come to later. As promised, the cert was at the parkway information counter with everything intact. To whoever the person who found and returned it, THANK YOU SO MUCH! Not that my cert is of any use to anyone other then myself.
Talking about the karaoke session, it was probably my worst ever. I was actually croaking and having my voice broken in almost every song. Shouldn't have suggested singing when I'm having a flu. well, promised not to reeal too much about this sad sad karaoke session. Must go again when I'm better to redeem myself.
THE WEATHER IS FREAKING IRRITATING. THE AMOUNT OF SWEAT I PRODUCE ON MY WAY TO THE BUSSTOP IS AS MUCH AS WHEN I PLAY SOCCER ON A NORMAL DAY!
