Today was a good day and a bad day. It was a bad day because I had my NUS interview and it didn't go well. It was definitely more enjoyable than the previous interviews I had attended because it was more of a two-way thing where I shared my opinions with the 2 interviewers instead of them asking me question after question. However, I was totally speechless when they asked me," What do you know about NUS business school?" I knew I should have read up on it but I didn't. So, I decided to tell them everything I didn't know about NUS business school and turned it into an information sharing session. They were quite nice to give me comments in the end which made it an important learning lesson for me. I wouldn't harbour too much hope on it too but it still contributed to the bad part of my day.
Talking about this, I suddenly remembered something I wanted to say. For an interesting read, try the novel, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time by Mark Haddon. I really enjoyed it very much.
Anyway, today was a good day because I've gotten my pair of contacts. But they had to come this week when I am already not feeling metrosexual. I tried them on nevertheless and it was kinda difficult at first. But I'll get used to it. Don't mistake me for Jay Chou when I go out on the streets in future without specs. Haha, just kidding.

I've changed my blog template to this really cool navigation type which may be confusing to people who were following my old blogs. But the fact that you are able to reach this page means that you understand how this works and that your iq is not so low after all.
Everything I type on my blog are my own personal comments purely for memory (or in certain cases, stress relieving) purposes and not targetted on inflicting irreversible mental trauma on whoever's name that is mentioned. I also do not like to discuss things mentioned in the blog outside of my blog. What's in the blog, remains in the blog.
Please tag on the tagboard to give me constructive comments or just to say hi. I love to say hi because greetings are free.
Remember to check out the songs I'm listening to in the music box segment located at the lower orange rectangle.

Alright this is kind of late but I TURNED 19 ON 18/05/2007! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!
Besides that, there wasn't really much of a thrill the past week. Life goes on for me, a soldier from 6am to 7pm on weekdays, and a civillian at other times. Had dinner with amanda on tuesday, with joyce on wednesday (joyce's leaving...ahhhhh sad sad), had a cool hair cut on thursay and on friday I grew one year older.
Sunday was a really cool day because I scored 2 goals for school of ammunition football team as we glazed the street soccer court in marine terrace. Well, we didn't actually thrash them but we still managed to beat a team of middle aged adults twice. Youth is such an asset. But this was a small matter compared to what happened afterwards.I rushed down to Singapore river with ashvin to support the itango team in the rafting competition but we were a bit to late. We actually were in time to catch them coming in last but I guess what's important is the experience and I guess they really enjoyed the journey. Afterwhich we had dinner on a random corridor because we had no place to sit. that was when I was tricked to leave the scene to "buy lunch with amanda" while they set up the place. When I returned, they started singing Happy Birthday and even bought a cake and a spongebob squarepants boxers and a CD for me. I admitted I was touched but I don't cry at instances like this. Thank you lihua, amanda, jingyuan, chi heem, jiahui, ashvin, chin hao and newly made friend aravind. After lunch, jiahui, lihua and chi heem tried the G-force reverse bungy at clarke quay and it was hilarious because lihua was wailing like a little girl and chi heem and jiahui didn't seem to be affected by the ride at all. It was an expensive experience though.

There's something really wrong with my blogger I'm really hoping this post pulls through. Anyway, I think recently I'm going through some kind of metamorphosis. Firstly, interviews have started to make me realise that my English language sucks. That is why I'm starting (or restarting) to pick up reading. Just finished a book titled "The Husband" by Dean Koontz and I'm currently starting on the popular "Freakonomics". Hopefully these reading will help me improve my English. By the way, I shall be trying to type in good English in this blog too. Secondly, I wonder why suddenly metrosexuality is getting to me. I've made a bold move and went to make my first pair of contact lens a few days back. Well, a change of image is always good. Thirdly, as a reinforcement of the above point, I decided to get some kind of exfoliating foam to help salvage my skin which is in a really bad state recently.
Anyway, today my dad came back exclaiming, " Good news! You got your third interview!" I immediately thought it was my FIREfly 3rd round interview which I so desperately want. it turned out he made a mistake and it was the (well, also highly anticipated) SAFRA card. rom now on the most expensive ticket I'm going to pay for shall be $8! Add that to free usage of the swimming pool, freebies and perks now and then and really cool events, I think the SAFRA card is a rather cool card to own. Talking about interviews, I have this feeling I'll end up with no scholarships and only NTU business as my only offer. Somehow, I hate NUS (still). They made a mix-up of my scholarship interview and also the business course I applied for and somehow they just refuse to answer any question I sent them. As for SMU, maybe I can give it some thought and maybe apply next year.
On a side note, I've been crazily infatuated with Avril Lavigne and Hebe recently. Hebe's looks and Avril's songs keep appearing in my mind. I think my ideal girlfriend will be someone that has a bit of both girls! Well, change the "I think" to "I hope".

I am getting really fed up with something. Why is it getting so difficult to organise a small damn outing? First of all, the most common reply will be, "see first, who's going?" Is everyone becoming so anti-social that they must know exactly who are going lest they end up in the same outing as someone they dislike? In the first place, if everyone replies the same damn thing, how will I know who is going at all? Then again, these's this stupid problem of last minute withdrawals or otherwise known as "pangseh". Just because you are not the one organising, you find it really easy to just give the outing a miss without wondering the problems created for the organiser. Can you imagine a group dinner ending up in a threesome date? The ultimate thing I hate is people telling you how much they want an outing, pleading with you to organise one just because they're lousy. Well, take it as a compliment that maybe you have good organising skills. But in the end when the planning is done, this individual turns around and say how busy he or she is and how sad he or she is to be missing it. I mean, the world doesn't revolve around you alone. If you want something done, do something. if you want others to help, appreaciate it. Finally vented out all my bloody anger, and I guess i probably won't bother organising anymore stuff in future.
By the way, I think the group of 4J guys I hang out with has the greatest efficiency. On saturday, after a call from primero at around 9.30pm and the 6 of us were already at jalan kayu eating roti pratha and murtabak at 11+pm. i could never have done this with anyone else.
