These few days have been relatively enjoyable. Was supposed to go zouk with the class but got cancelled in the end due to poor response. At least I got to have dinner with yuan xiang and weibiao. I'd always liked to meet up with the few of them as we're really close and can talk about anything under the sun. Nothing to hide and only experiences to share. Had dinner at pepper lunch followed by pool. My pool has deteriorated and I actually didn't manage to get first among the 3 of us. The score of of 9 was weibiao winning 4, me 3 and yuan xiang 2, and the 2 losers had to share the cost. Went down to indochine for some drinks and snacks after that. It was my first time there and I had to admit it had quite a comfortable ambience with the bands playing and a pretty waitress. The only downside was the prices of the drinks were a little steep compared to most other places, but they were strong. We ordered a lychee martini, a zombie and something else I forgot and it got our faces red. I guess it was really fun to have a guys night out once in a while, where we don't have to be gentlemen, watch our language and behavior and can just be ourselves. Anyway, i learnt that indochine probably never give change. We paid $70 for a $64 bill and after waiting for the change for 5 minutes, we reluctantly left because we were embarassed to ask if there was change anyway. How noob!

Today was spent mainly in SMU listening to the deans talk about scholarships. I realised that SMU is largely similar to VJC, where the teachers are really happening and close to the students and everyone's really enjoying the process of being in the school. Suddenly, it overtook the place NUS had in my heart, partly also due to the scholarship incident in the last entry. It might probably be where I am 2 years from now anyway. But sometimes I wonder why they try to promote it so hard when the problem is not the lack of people applying, but the lack of scholarships. if they were to give us a scholarship, who would reject? On a side note, I realised girls really do get prettier after leaving school while guys get disfigured due to our hair. It looks really dumb to see hundreds of botaks entering SMU at the same time. It's almost as if everyone botak and wearing a cap alighting at city hall today was going to SMU.

Anyway, I finally got a call from FIRfly for an interview next monday. It has to clash with my first day in the new unit. Oh wells, hope the interview goes well for me!
