It's been approximately 7 weeks since I last updated this blog, much of it owing to the pathetic book out days we have. Among those days, part of those were spent shopping for CNY clothes, another part applying scholarships and universities and the last part for resting. Anyway, updates!
Firstly, A level results.

General Paper: B4.
Why must it be a B4 to spoil all the excitement? But I've actually learnt to be contented as I've really never expected to get 4As. I guess the school really matters a lot when it comes to academic results. Being in the top JCs will almost guarantee an improvement in grades and higher chances of getting your 4As. Just look at RJ. Half the school scoring 4As! So if you're in a good JC, study hard. Otherwise, study harder! But actually these results don't mean anything when they come to scholarship applications. Well, actually they do but thinking that there's at least 1000 people out there with results equal to yours totally diminishes any confidence in the applications. Nonetheless, I still applied for the FIREfly scholarship, NUS scholarships and the NTU STB scholarship. Though I totally have no confidence in even obtaining an interview for any of them, I sincerely hope that I'll at least get a shot at one of them.
Next, National Service!

Completed BMT!
These 7 weeks have been really memorable but somehow a part of me refuses to remember it. I am really affected by the way PES C recruits are treated in BMT. It's like we're the budget terminal while the rest are terminasl 1 and 2. Getting labelled PES C everywhere and even being made fun of by your sergeants is really disgusting. Besides, I guess none of us actually opted to be in PES C, and that our capabilities may actually match or be better than those in PES A. Mohawk had only 1 marksman in the entire company whereas my platoon already had 3 and apparently not many of the PTP batch managed to pass ippt after the 13 weeks of "grueling" training. Conclusion? It's no use comparing PES C and PESA/B. Everyone has a different experience and only by sharing will we understand what others had went through. The only thing worth regretting is that we do not even get to take pictures or even have a parade just because we're PES C. But I'm okay with it, since I wouldn't want to be remembered of my ugly hair anyway.

I've changed my blog template to this really cool navigation type which may be confusing to people who were following my old blogs. But the fact that you are able to reach this page means that you understand how this works and that your iq is not so low after all.
Everything I type on my blog are my own personal comments purely for memory (or in certain cases, stress relieving) purposes and not targetted on inflicting irreversible mental trauma on whoever's name that is mentioned. I also do not like to discuss things mentioned in the blog outside of my blog. What's in the blog, remains in the blog.
Please tag on the tagboard to give me constructive comments or just to say hi. I love to say hi because greetings are free.
Remember to check out the songs I'm listening to in the music box segment located at the lower orange rectangle.
