I thought my score of 750/800 for chemistry SAT and 760/800 for math SAT was not too bad a score. Jenn haur had to burst my bubbles by telling me he knows of a few who got full marks. Well, I'm waiting for the more detailed report on 30th december. Hopefully I'm smarter than the kids in US after all.
Anyway, Merry Christmas Everyone!

I've changed my blog template to this really cool navigation type which may be confusing to people who were following my old blogs. But the fact that you are able to reach this page means that you understand how this works and that your iq is not so low after all.
Everything I type on my blog are my own personal comments purely for memory (or in certain cases, stress relieving) purposes and not targetted on inflicting irreversible mental trauma on whoever's name that is mentioned. I also do not like to discuss things mentioned in the blog outside of my blog. What's in the blog, remains in the blog.

A few years back, I loved to deposit money using the cash deposit machine. That's because all the aunties and uncles don't know how to use and they'll join the super long queue inside the bank to deposit their cash. I, on the other hand, usually spend less than 5 minutes for the process of depositing cash. Nowadays, the uncles and aunties still don't know how to use the machines and the bad thing is, they're trying to use them. Just today, I spent almost 15 minutes waiting for a middle aged lady in front of me to put in her cash, which was quite obviously less than $100. Firstly, couldn't she just kept it in her wallet? Secondly, couldn't she ask for some help? Thirdly, does she know there's a super long queue behind her and the time she took could have allowed more than 5 people to do the same thing. And I think it does not only happen today, it happens everywhere everyday! Hopefully the banks will have some means to deal with this irritating phenomenon.
Anyway, another thing I want to add. I'm guilty about a thought I had for ages, that is the good progress award is only for average students who can't get the better edusave scholarships and bursaries. Zuhao brought up a good point, that the good progress award are for clever people who were just too busy for studies initially, and bucked up later. I like that thought.

We kind of decided the 2nd day will be all water acivities. So the first thing we did after breakfast was to get changed and head for the pool. Some of us taught jenn haur how to swim while the other just kind of swam around and soaked in the pool under the wonderful weather. At about 11.30am, we got invited to participate in a water polo game with the rest of the guests. So we did, and we won! But I guess it was all for fun anyway.
This was me and Chee Hoe during the water polo game.
Chin Yong and Chee Hoe after the game. we were supposed to follow and do a dance. Realise why they stayed at that corner? Look behind them.
We wanted to go kayaking but kinda of decided the waves were too strong for us, so we played beach volleyball instead. This was the time where we all got badly sunburnt.
Badly badly burnt around the shoulder region.
The third and 4th day actually had nothing interesting, much is due to the bad weather and the burns we had on our bodies. So people going to Bintan, please remember your sunblock!
Oh the 4th day had something interesting actually. We checked out from our rooms at 11.30am but our ferry only left at 5.30pm. So we had 6 hours to spare. We went to enquire and decided to hire a taxi to take us around the island. went to this place called pasar oleh oleh (poo for short) and managed to get yeh hao's present there. Primero was the major sponsor but somehow chinyong was the major shareholder. But seriously, there was nothing much there because the stuff weren't exactly cheap and most were just ornamantes and souveniers. So the driver took us to the factory outlet beside the ferry terminal where they sell clothes and accessories at really cheap prices. Guess what? They're not imitations. They're just rejects from the factories due to minor minor defects that we would not usually notice. So I got an esprit T-shirt, an abercrombie T-shirt, a hugo underwear and a pair of esprit slippers for my sister, all for just $30.10! I think that's quite a killing.
That sorts of round up the trip to bintan. I may be going to desaru with the house comm at the end of this year! Yay! But now I gotta treat my burns first. it's peeling and it's disgusting.

So I was back from Bintan Club Med on thursday and only now can I find time to update about it. Well, my mission to take many many pictures with hot bikini babes failed terribly. All the women there were either with their husbands and kids or with their boyfriends. What happened to other teenage girls???
So we met up at Tanah Merah ferry terminal on monday to take a ferry to bintan. Quite a cool experience since I've never taken a ferry before. it was kind of like a double decker bus just that it was on sea.
Us on the ferry, pardon the bright background.
Upon arrival, we took a bus to club med and the reception there was awesome. They were all smiling and waving and they even gave out iced tea and wet towels to cool us down in the hot weather. Then we checked into our rooms and started the vacation with some late breakfast at the terrace restaurant. It was kind of lousy and we didn't have much of our meals there. After which we spent the whole afternoon at the sports centre playing basketball, table tennis, archery which took up the whole
afternoon.
The beautiful swimming pool!
Our room.
Archery!
Jenn haur, Chee Hoe and I went to try out the flying trapeze which was just outside our room. The girl there was hot though. had to go through land training before climbing up the structure to do the real trapeze. It wasn't as hard as it seemed, but it kinda gave the back of my knee some abrasions.
Me on the trapeze!
Went to the beach to play some beach soccer after that and went back to our rooms to shower before dinner. Wasn't so bad the first day as we got slightly tanned without getting burnt. Just before dinner there was a special cocktail party and we dropped by to have a few drinks before dinner.
The cocktail party!
Us at the cocktail party.
The night was spent watching some really unentertaining performance at the theatre. It seriously bored me out but I guess the kids enjoyed it. Went back to room for a little bit of TV before sleeping.

BE BACK ON THURSDAY!

I think there's something wrong with my body clock this week, especially after prom. I've been sleeping not earlier than 3am and waking up not earlier than 2pm. That's almost 11 hours of sleep a day. Well, I hope it gets better soon. Won't want it to happen when I go bintan this coming monday.
Anyway, I've stopped using photobucket to host my photos. It's slow and slow and really slow. Tried flickr which hosted my hptos for the last post but realised I only have 20mb of space a month. That's like barely 20 photos. Anyone has any reccomendations? Oh shutterfly is great for photosharing, but it can't allow you to post pictures on your blog.. bleah.
I forgot to mention about MOS after prom. My class, deciding to boycott the post prom at DXO which many other classes did, went down to MOS. The fact that we met many other different VJ groups there probably gave an idea of the poor response at DXO. Moreover, it was ladies night and why would girls pay to go DXO when they can enter almost any other club for free? It was a new experience at first when my classmates and I hit the dancefloor when we knew nothing about dance. We basically did really silly but fun stuff there, but I guess the enthusiasm died down gradually. Aramia was hillarious and she was drunk after she drank some $18 drink. We had to run after her on several occasions. I kinda liked those on the first floor better, cuz I think I know the songs better. But anyway, I'm not such a clubbing person so I guess I won't be a frequent patron there. Wouldn't mind going once in a while though. But air-con and cigarettes are a bad mix.
Some random thoughts...
1. I think the camera flash is a great tool. It helps to hide the bad complexion I have and at the same time, exposes some of the really bad makeup that some girls (and guys!!!) actually have.
2. I wonder why guys mostly don't put makeup that day but girls have to. And many actually turned out worse den how they usually looked. I still believe natural look is the best and if needed, light make-up will do fine.
3. I still feel hard done I didn't get pictures with some of the hottest girls that night...
4. I still can't believe the first band has the audacity to do champagne supernova and welcome to the black parade in front of so many people. Please...stop them from doing more evil!

Well, prom has come and gone. It was a new thing for me since dunman high didn't have prom back then, and I guess it's rather interesting.
Checked in at the hotel at 2pm and was super pissed initially. It's amazing how some people can be so irresponsible and selfish when others are actually doing you a favour. No words of thanks or acknowledgements and tons of last minutes problems. Since, it's over now, I wouldn't want to be reminded of it anymore. Anyway, the hotel is rather cool because I bet 90% of you reading wouldn't have checked in at hotel 81 before. The best thing about it is that it's bloddy cheap. Initially I thought it was $109, but turned out Singaporeans got a discounted price of $89. Compareed with Ritz, which was around $400-$500, this was really a killer, since all the hotel served as was a place for changing and minimum sleeping. Weirdly enough, I don't have any photos of the hotel currently but it's not as bad as many people think, except for the fact that there was hair of previous occupants on the bed and floor. Well, s41 and s23 had rooms there too.
Got changed and reached Ritz at about 6+. Started taking pictures with my class. I think there must be so much discussion about prom that mine would probably pale in comparison. However, the essential points are 1. the food is lousy, 2. the emcee is weird, 3. the bands suck totally. The food they served was barely enough to fill a cavity in my teeth, let alone my stomach. The servings were really tiny and the standard was not better than any random restaurant out there. The emcee was kind of great in the beginning but sort of became a jackass towards the end. I guess he thought he was funny in many occasions, when many people found him rather rude and weird. What the hell, no one can remember his name! The bands were a major problem, especially the first one. I think the singer totally screwed up each and every song he sang, including champagne supernova and welcome to the black parade, my favourite song. Even My Chemical Romance cannot do a good job in live performances, and he dares to try it??? He was basically screeching throughout the song and I was glad I was busy taking photos then. Lucid Vapour and 4 Toads were about the same, unimpressive. Probably the daniel band did a better job and staked their place as winners of musicfest earlier this year. Ok enough of grumbling, time for some photos, but not all, it'll drain everything outta me.

Yay! I've completed my prom shopping today. Can't bear to calculate how much I spent in total. Not that it's a lot but just that it's draining out the little cash I have in my already little account. I think the only worse thing remaining is to have someone wearing the same stuff as you on prom night. Maybe the 2nd worst is the fact that my class is staying at hotel 81 on prom day, and I was the one that suggested and booked it. But come to think of it, how many people have actually stayed in this 'famous" chain of hotels anyway?
Anyway, yesterday was my SAT. Was quite worried the night before as now that my parents are overseas, my mum won't be there to wake me up. So I set 4 alarm clocks and luckily I managed to wake up in time, a bit early in fact. Since the centre I was testing was Ngee Ann Secondary School which is like super near my house, I was rather complacent but I still managed to reach half an hour before time. But the freak thing is, 5 minutes before the test, I realised I forgot to bring my entire wallet, which contained my IC. Without it, I cannot sit for the test. So I ran all the way back home to grab my IC and back to the school in about 10 minutes, so I guess I ran a little more than 1.6km in my jeans and T-shirt. Arrived 10 minutes late but still allowed to take the paper luckily. In the end, I couldn't finish about 3 questions of the math paper, which according to primero, was better than answering them wrongly because marks will be deducted for wrong answers. Oh wells, at the most retest again next year although it will mean sucking more money out from my account.
So I was out almost everyday for the past few days, the worst was yesterday when i was out with Juleng. Well actually it was not that bad as her spending abilily made me less guilty. Luckily I was not her boyfriend. But it's actually fun shopping with girl, but not a gang of girls. You get to see what interests them such as make-up that's really steep and you also get a free training session on your patience which might be useful in future when you get a girlfriend. I was actually stuck in the make-up place called M.A.C for about 30 minutes not once, but twice. Well, I survived.

Hello! I'm back! The reason I was out of action for so long was that this week has been super busy. Been out of house almost everyday!
On monday, Mummy brought Sis and me to the temple to pray, Well that actually was a small beginning to a great day. the good thing about shopping with parents is that all expenses will be paid by them! So I basically saved money on meals and other stuff for the whole day. Shopped around Toa payoh and later on moved to Bugis where I found my skinny tie! Wanted to wear that for such a long time and finally found it at Topman Bugis. After that went to colour my hair at Shaw Towers Glamour academy. Sat there for 2 hours to cut and colour and realised the colour wasn't actually what I planned to have. But on the fact that it was cheap ($25!!!), I decided to live with it cause it's a rather nice colour.
Tuesday was spent at Primero's house after extending passport and mild shopping at queensway. We could actually spend the whole afternoon playing WWE and winning eleven. Seriously it would be suicide of the brain if during school time but hell, no more school for us!
Wednesday was spent at Minds cafe at boat quay. Nothing much to update except that fact that Primero lost almost every game, thanks to our collusion!
Thursday was NPCC day! Went to sing at katong shopping centre with shi han, yeh hao, weibiao, yiting and yuen siang before going to the bbq. Guess how much we paid for 4 hours of singing? Only $5.60+ each. Want to know why it's so cheap? Ask me! After that we took bus to Pasir Ris. Well, actually they took bus while I was left behind cause I was withdrawing money. Took mrt and ended up arriving much earlier than them. BBQ was fun! Played asshole daidee and talked a lot of crap among ourselves. Brought back much fond memories. I guess the funny part was the conversation between wenjian and wanting. Should have taken it down. Actually only I only have 2 photos taken that day.
Why isn't there any light?
Opps, I was caught acting cute!
Friday was spent at the airport. Sent the S27 people off to vietnam and then my parents to bangkok. So now, there's no parents at home! Yay! anyone wanna go out please ask me along! Haha.
