Urgh! Stressed! I spent the last half an hour staring into the worsheet, trying to get an econs essay outline done. But until now, not that nothing is written, but everything seems so incorrect and lack of substance. If this carries on I think I'll go crazy just before prelims. Everyone's mugging so hard now yet they want to pretend that they're not mugging because mugging=not cool. I think everyone in VJ is darn smart but they don't wanna admit it, only to stab you real hard in the end when the results come back. I hate this feeling.

For the first time in my Jc life, I topped the class for GP essay! An incredible 32 marks! and Miss Rajan said if I didn't include too much economic terms i might even score 35! I guess this serves as the only morale booster in the whole mid year exams considering I only mugged mass media for GP this time and no mass media question came out. However, for comprehension, I scored the lowest in my whole JC life. An incredible 23 marks, leaving me with still a B4 for GP.
On a side note, Econs was really disappointing. I did OK for MCQ , not very bad for case study, but totally flunked the essay with 8/25. Misunderstanding the question is very dangerous! That leaves me with DDEE and B4 for the mid years. Not a very good results considering it's only 5-6 weeks to prelims and about 3 months to A-levels.
Hence, I really have to start mugging my ass off to achieve my target of ABCC for prelims! Been going home right after school for the few 2 days and preventing myself from sleeping during lectures. Hopefully, it helps.
Anyway, I did 2 good deeds today. Firstly, I donated the whiteboard duster that has been idle in my house for the past year to the house den. Jeannie, stop using your hands to wipe the board. In addition, I cleaned the bloody fan in the house den that hasn't been cleaned for the past 3 years I think. It wasn't dust that was on the fan because the dust has all turned to really sticky grime or whatever you call that. At least now it feels cooler in the house den, I hope.

I caught "I Not Stupid Too" today on DVD at my grandma's house and I have to admit it did touch my heart. I specially found the part when the kid saved and even stole money so that he could buy 1 hour of his dad's time to watch his concert very meaningful. Besides, so many scenes in the show seemed so familiar to me because they happen in my life every day. To those cavemen and cavewomen like me who haven't caught the show, it's definiely a must-watch.Another must-watch would be "Pirates of the Carribean: Dead Man's Chest". I wouldn't spoil it for those who haven't caught it, but it's definitely a good sequel to the first movie and a great prequel to the next movie. Just remember to stay until after the credits are done.

It has already been a few times this week that when I asked others about their mid years, they tell me it's really bad. Then I go, "same here" and they always go "don't bluff lor, you mug so hard". But the truth is, I really did mug very hard and my results are really still bad. DDE with econs to go. So, the moral is, Alan can't mug for nuts, so start digesting the 4 thick files in your bedroom now!Anyway, I promised my dear friend , Jason, that I shall post his picture here. So here it is...

Being optimistic is good, but having high expectations of oneself is not necessarily encouraged, especially when there's a tendency for one to fail miserably. This is the case for me for this mid years. After the exam was over, I knew I wasn't going to do very well yet I had faith that my worst grade will hopefully be a D and that I might get at least a B for one subject. I got back 3 papers till now and I think it would be unlikely to achieve that now. I got D for Math (52), D for Bio (53) and E for Chemistry (49.5). Largely disappointing.Hence, I've decided to really really work hard on my studies from now on. No more skipping of lectures of tutorials and I'm really trying not to doze off during lessons. Also, I decided I shall not waste any more time and effort on things and people that I know nothing will come out of them. Instead, those time saved can be used for mugging for prelims in 49 days time and A levels in 119 days time.My target for prelims: at least ABCC!

World Cup is over too. I caught the last match in school with close to 100 people, organised by the 3rd house committee. Although the number wasn't too many, but the atmosphere was definitely there and I'm sure everyone enjoyed themselves wastching the penalty shootout knowing assembly was in 3 hours time. I was with the house committee all the while with half supporting France and half supporting Italy. Me? I was hoping for a 1-1 or 1-0 Italy win and i got my wish unexpectedly. This marked the end of my punter lifestlye for the past month and I'm proud to announce that I've retired with a profit of $80.60. Not too bad a result I guess. I'll try to draw a graph to visualise my profit curve for the world cup season. To allow everyone to forget the image of zizou's head on metarazzi's chest, let's have some pictures to dillute that image.
After 90 minutes.
Me bragging bout my $47 earned (turned out to be $53.50 after all)

So saturday was my NPCC passing out parade. This is the 2nd time I'm passing out, the first being in 2004 when I passed out as a Staff Sergeant. On satuday, I passed out as a Cadet Inspector. These further 2 years have added a lot more precious memories to my already exciting 4 years in NPCC, and never will I let them slip my mind. Thanks to all those who specially came down to grace the occasion, most notably my ex-squadmates and the ex-CIs. Also, thanks goes out to the Sec 3 squad as well as Qiwen and Quan Rui for planning a really nice POP for us. Lastly, thanks to all those whom I have once crossed paths with in my 6 years in NPCC. Thanks for making a difference to my life.Jiaming and Yiting, my wonderful co-workers for these 2 years.
DHSNPCC Unit, that's me there in the front row.
Never be forgotten
CIs have their cute sides,
