phew, finally back from ocip in cambodia. have so much to blog about i dun think i can finish in a day. have tons of pictures to upload too. anyway, just removed my tag-board cause it was giving me a whole lot of problems. and i have to do a damn report on this ocip that is due tml. so today's entry will be rather short.

on 24th november, 42 students and 5 teachers boarded MI 608 to phnom penh, cambodia for ocip. we arrived at phnom penh at about 1720 hours cambodian time, which is one hour slower than singapore time. we were delayed at the airport for quite some time, the reason i also dunno. about an hour later we finally started to move our luggage up a bus and took a twenty minute bus ride to our hotel for the night, asia hotel. along the way, i started to realise how different cambodia is compared to singapore. even in phnom penh, the capital of cambodia, there were people selling items and foodstuffs along the streets that was obviously unhygienic and there were so many beggars along the roads as well. the air was also less fresh than that in singapore, as every breath u take in seemed to contain a tinge of foul smell combined with dust. men were topless, children were naked and many buildings which was supposed to be some offices looked like they had just been bombed. probably all these are a bit exxagerating, but it's really true you cannot imagine how the place like unless u've seen it yourself. at that point of time, the thought that was running through my head was,"if phnom penh is lyk that, how will prey veng be?"

and we arrived at asia hotel, and it looks worse on the outside than hotel 81 in singapore. initially i thought i will be staying alone since zhen iang pulled out at the last moment, but turned out that i'm sleeping with samuel sia. bot a bad thing considering how freaking scary the place looked. went for dinner at this place called san duo, same name as the restaurant in zhen qing, and the food was quite ok as it was a chinese restaurant. that night was marcus' birthday, so after a bath i went to join the others in celebrating marcus' birthday. think we made quite a din as something was heard from someone a few storeys upstairs. dun care lahz...

this is one of the important part of the whole trip. in zhilin's room, while sourcing for nice channels, we pounced upon a totally sick channel.--------------------censored----------------------if u wanna know about the censored part, please ask me personally. anyway, from then on, "well done" became the most widely used phrase in ocip.

that's about it for day one, pretty boring day. need to write my report now, will update a few more days each day... take care everyone, cyaz~
